Three is my favorite number. It’s an odd number that creates a perfectly even balance. A trifecta, a trio, a trilogy.

Everyone knows the brain is divided down the middle into two hemispheres, but what about the overlooked middle brain? People describe themselves as right-brain or left-brain thinkers. The lefties brag about their math and logic skills and the righties tout their creativity and intuition. The mid-brain is responsible for hearing, vision, alertness and motor control. Mid-brain thinkers actually benefit from both sides — logic from the left and intuition from the right. I’m decidedly a mid-brainer, neither here nor there, usually betwixt and between, and served best by the triumvirate of support from all 3 parts of the brain. How about you? Are you a lefty, a righty or a middy?
