Exactly seven months ago I found a lump in my breast. Within two days, I learned I had breast cancer. It was a few days before my birthday and I wrote about it here — On Turning 50. I remember those initial days, and they continue to shape my thinking now, even with breast cancer in the rear view mirror. Everything is a bonus — the predictable is never a given — stay nimble because life offers the unexpected, and in the unexpected lies the real beauty of life. We leave today for that “Post-50 Party” my boys spoke of last November and I’m ready to FLY!! I feel feather light . . .
