Botanical Inspiration Day #14: Sharing is our opportunity to partake in and be part of a village.
A dear friend of mine saw this wooden rose on my blog post here. She enthusiastically e-mailed me to say she was inspired to search for the “wood rose.” At the moment, I didn’t make the connection to my post. Lo and behold, she hosted an impromptu dinner in honor of my birthday, and there on the dinner table was a perfectly curated selection of Deodar Cedar cones as delicate as any English rose. She found them under the huge tree where our children attended kindergarten together just ten years earlier. We all share this journey of life… “that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”
