Today’s Instagram Friday is near and dear to my heart. My cousin, a talented young man with a deep soul, and his band The Mowgli’s appear on the KFOG LIVE FROM THE ARCHIVES, CD #20 released today. Yes, twenty years of LIVE KFOG studio recordings on annual limited-edition CDs to raise money for local bay area food banks. I’ve been a Foghead for every one of those twenty years plus a decade before the archive CDs, but please don’t do the math. Frankly, I might not have made it through college without KFOG’s music by my side. The Mowgli’s featured song, aptly entitled SAN FRANCISCO, reminds us there’s a ‘lil hippie love and beatnik poetry in all our hearts. I toast my cousin and all the beloved devil-may-care heroes who followed their hearts in pursuit of love with flowers in their hair.
A shout out to The Mowgli’s! See you at THE FILLMORE in 2014! If you don’t live in the bay area, you can buy your CD on line here at Peet’s Coffee & Tea. Spread the L•O•V•E.
